Advantage of the CAROVAK-Vacuum piston

Highest evacuation grades without additional sealing of the casting chamber or piston rod; this avoids any maintenance time and down-time determined by the system
Can be uses on conventional horizontal cold-chamber machines (the system in use is only changed by sealing the die)
Can be used on vacuum casting machines
Can be used with the normal casting chamber (no special piston entering slopes necessary therefore, cylindrical pressing discard for easy release of the casting)
Minimum system preconditions:

sealed die
suction over die/casting chamber

Design advantages

• No leakage of the cooling medium despite optimised cooling capacity (because of the special piston design, leakage of the cooling medium is not possible)
• Due to the patented sealing system (automatic wear adaptation of the sealing surfaces) highest grades o evacuation can be achieved
• Long life by means of a tribologically favourable material pair'casting chamber/piston'. The sealing surfaces are protected from wear by means of a special pressure ring.
• Economic casting due to exchangeable wearing parts
