BIKS 830 Vertical dual-frequency induction hardening machine
Induction hardening machine for inductive surface hardening of rolls with a diameter from 250 to 830 mm. Induction frequency is continuously variable and therefore several case depths are possible, up to 48 mm with uniformity of hardness in the range +/- 2 HRC. The machine has two inductor coils which operate simultaneously, each with its own frequency, one with a high frequency (250 Hz - 1000 Hz) and another with a low frequency (50 Hz -100 Hz) and thus a longer period of hardening is enabled, more power is delivered and larger hardening depths are achieved. Due to these characteristics, the machine also enables the rehardening of used rolls.

Automated customised quench hardening stations with motorised conveyors, an automated pumping system, automated protective clamps and racks for parts, loading/unloading and a PLC/CNC control system ... with everything tailored to your needs. Automated protective clamps prevent rolled profiles bending during quenching (minimal deformations);
Custom-made quench tanks are tailored to the metal parts to provide uniform cooling and quenching which is enabled through appropriate tank construction and sufficient agitation close to all surfaces of the parts.

Supercooling chambers are designed for additional hardening after induction hardening. They are used to provide a uniform distribution of martensite and a uniform hardened surface (no soft zones, no pitting), as well as greater hardness and wear resistance of the material.
The rollers are cooled (supercooling temperature of -150˚C) with liquid nitrogen, using jets and fans. Supercooling chambers are equipped with a PLC controller and an operating panel with a touch screen that enables all parameters to be monitored, all the settings to be changed etc.
