Because that is what it is about – breathing the air that we do not really perceive in everyday life. But if this vital gas is dirty, then it becomes unpleasant. Every hay fever sufferer or big city dweller knows this. And in China's big cities the situation is sometimes unbearable. How foundries can contribute to healthy air being omnipresent, is the theme of the month for November: Efficient filter technology – fresh air for China's foundry industry.

A new World Health Organization report released in March 2014, stated that in 2012 around 7mn people died as a result of air pollution exposure. Awareness and a sense of responsibility for air pollution is needed more than ever, especially in the industrial sector, and especially in the People´s Republic of China, where smog hangs heavy over the megacities.

In many factories in China the exhaust air is captured and transported to the outside without being filtered. This slightly improves the air quality inside the hall, but only by moving the pollutants outdoors. The use of an energy efficient air filtration system can increases not only the overall health of employees, it can also lead to a significant improvement in the company's balance sheet.
