Lucas Cranach the Elder is considered to be one of the most important painters of the German Renaissance. He was a close friend of Martin Luther and influenced artists throughout the centuries. As one of the highlights in the reformation year 2017, the Kunstpalast museum in Düsseldorf is devoting an extensive exhibition to the famous painter from Wittenberg until 30 July 2017.
