Germany-based SAH Stahlwerk Annahütte specializes in the production of round bars and high-performance thread bar systems. Continuous investment in modern, future-oriented technologies and equipment has always been a key ingredient of the company mission. One of the company’s most recent investments is a new Danieli Centro Combustion walking-beam reheating furnace for billets.
Hydrogen-ready technology
The new furnace will be able to reheat 80 tons of billet material per hour. Apart from providing perfect reheating and excellent temperature uniformity, the innovative furnace technology will make the reheating process more economical and eco-friendly. The HYDRO MAB hydrogen multi-air burners from Danieli Centro Combustion will reduce both electricity consumption and NOx emissions.
Supply scope
The Danieli scope of supplies also includes the power distribution and automation systems, including Level 1 and 2 process control. Latest mathematical models will be used to optimize the heating process. Start of operation of the new furnace is slated for September 2024.
