With Marie Jaroni, Germany's largest steel group will be led by a woman in future. She will succeed Dennis Grimm on 1 November with a five-year contract, as Thyssenkrupp Steel Europe AG announced on 31 October.
"Marie Jaroni has succeeded in setting the course for steel with strategic vision, persuasiveness, and great commitment", said Ilse Henne, Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board. As Knut Giesler, Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board added, Jaroni conducted the crucial negotiations on the restructuring collective agreement in a goal-oriented, consensus-driven, and fair manner. At its meeting on October 31, 2025, the Supervisory Board also extended the contract of CFO Philipp Conze, Chief Financial Officer at thyssenkrupp Steel since April 1, 2024, for another five years, also effective November 1, 2025. Wilfried von Rath has been appointed as Labor Director and Chief Human Resources Officer in addition to his role as CHRO of thyssenkrupp AG and will head the Human Resources department at Steel as of November 1, 2025.
